A Carving Night...

Our family had so much fun carving pumpkins this year. Aubrey had no problem digging in and getting dirty. She loved to try and eat the pumpkin to. After we finally gave her a spoon she would stick it down in the pumpkin and then into her mouth. Once we got her pumpkin all carved out we put her in it and took her pictures. We had done the same thing with both of the boys are their first Halloween. The boys enjoyed helping Dad carve their pumpkins

Preschool Bash

Lukas had such a great time at his preschool Halloween party this year. He has set back and watched his older brother and now it was finally his turn. I was only able to put part of his costume on him so he was dressed as a half rocker half preschooler. =) For his treat to hand out to classmates was some kid suschi that I made. It was a HIT! I was the only parent who joined in on dressing up, but had fun anyway. Kind of crazy to dress up as a Resses Peanut Butter Cups, considering Lukas is allergic to peanuts.

Potato Head Fun...

My boys and I bought these Potato Head kits a couple of years ago and they always get excited to use them. We now need to find another one for Aubrey. These pumpkins always last much longer than the ones we carve. So here are a few pictures of our Mr. Potato Pumpkins.

Picking The Perfect Pumpkin

So I know I'm WAY BEHIND on my blogging lately, but I wanted to get these pictures us anyways. We took our kids to Grandpa's Farm this year so they could pick out a pumpkin. We had a fun time and the weather was nice. Aubrey loved all the pumpkins and how they felt. The boys of course had the hardest time picking which pumpkin they wanted and sticking to it. What a fun day!

Body-After-Baby...

OK,I have to give myself a pat on the back! I stayed out of my kids candy! Both of my boys ended up with a large Ziploc back full of candy. I did have one weakness though, Grandma's caramel corn. UGH. She makes my husband and me a bag every year and let me tell you it's way to hard to stay away from it. Thanks Grandma Shirley. My mouth is already watering waiting for that bag next year. Anyways I didn't loose a lot this week just a little over a pound, but I didn't gain any and it was Halloween. During this next week our challenge is to get 8 hours of sleep a night. We will see.

Body-After-Baby...

Here is another post about my BAB challenge. During this next week we don't have any special challenge set up, but my goal is to stay AWAY from Halloween goodies. This year we are going to try science experiments with the candy we collect. Jaren is really into science and it's a great way to use up the candy without it going into thier mouths. My sit ups went ok, it's really hard to do them with a little girl who thinks it's fun to crawl on top of you while you do them. Down just under 2 more pounds this weekhttp://www.mamanotes.com/

A 4 years old habit..

When I was getting ready this morning I started thinking about all the little habits my children already have, good and bad. While some of these habits I despise, there are some I truly love and decided I needed to do something so I would remember. This is one of my favorite habits that Lukas does every day.
Step 1. He always asks for his vitamin and a cup.
Step 2- Pop the vitamin into his mouth.
Step 3- He always takes a drink before he can chew it up.
Obviously this kid has seen me take my medication to many times. Now he thinks he needs water so he can get the vitamin down. I just love this habit.

Week 4...

Week 4 of the BAB challenge. This week are challenge is do work on sit ups. I can't stand sit ups, but I will be stepping up to the challenge. I'm hoping that my husband (hint hint I know your reading this) will help me work on this after the kiddos go to sleep. I have slacked off on my water intake during the last week, and realized I need to work on drinking more again. I had lost a little over 2 pounds during the last week, but gained almost 1 pound back. Dumb pumpkin spice cake and panini that I ate during my girls night out. Ugh. Here is to a better week. Check us out over at http://www.mamanotes.com/2009/10/body-after-baby-week-four.html

Spooky Cookies...

Our family starting getting in the Halloween spirit by frosting cookies with some family. The kids enjoyed putting on as much frosting and sprinkles as they could on each cookie. Of course they would have ate them all if we would have let them. Jaren was a little sprinkle crazy =)

The Finger licking froster!

My little girl was to busy eating her Baby MUM MUMs to bother with cookies.

Eat at your own RISK!! This was one finger licking froster.

Here is one of her climbing adventures I caught on my camera. Getting her BUMBO chair ready. Check Now it's in place. Check
Climb inside. Check Ok then I put down the camera to take her off the rocker. Safety first people.

Week 3...

Ok so I have been slacking a little, ok a lot in the posting area of my life. I have to admit. I will post some new pictures in the am. So do check back to see what my family has been up to. For now I just wanted to touch base on the Body After Baby Challenge. We are just starting week 3 now. I have lost just a little over 2 pounds during the last week. Not super great but still it's a start. I have been running on the old tread mill and boy does it feel good. Even though I'm not noticing a huge difference on the scale, I am starting to get the saggy jean butt look. I usually NEVER dry my jeans, but I have had to start drying them just to get them to shrink some. YES!!! So this next week our challenge is to work on eating from 2 different food groups at every meal. Check back with me next week to see what is going on with the challenge. Meanwhile you can go over to http://www.mamanotes.com/2009/10/body-after-baby-week-three.html and see what the program is all about. Wish me luck to a better week.

Storytime given by a 4 year old...

Lukas LOVES to read to Aubrey whenever he is given the chance. Of course his favorite book to read her is this Princess book or a book called, Pinkalicious. Aubrey must think he is a great reader because she will usually sit by him until he is tired of reading to her. I just love these pictures. If you haven't read Pinkalicious yet I recommend reading it or just give me a call and I'm sure I have a 4 year old who would love to read it to you. Lukas always shows her how do to the picture slides in the book.

Aubrey won't let him change the page.

Starting week 2 ofMamaNotes challenge. This week our challenge is to walk or run more. For every 15 mins. we are out walking or running we earn 1 point. With a max of 4 points per day. I'm thrilled with this challenge because I already love to walk and I've started running on my tread mill. So far I've lost 3 pounds since last week. Pretty good right? I'm happy with my results so far, I was worried because I tend to eat when I'm stressed out. Since my husband has been gone hunting, let's just say it's been a little (OK a LOT) stressful around the house. If you want more info on this challenge just head on over to http://www.mamanotes.com/2009/10/body-after-baby-week-two.html. Until next week wish me luck!

Body-After-Baby...

I have joined the Body after Baby Challenge over at http://www.mamanotes.com/2009/09/body-after-baby-week-one.htmo l. It's a 8 week program to help jump start your weight loss. My goal is to loose 10-15 pounds during this challenge. More pounds shed would be welcome of course. So every week I will be posting what we are doing over there and to help keep myself on track. At the end of this challenge we will having a contest to see who won. YES, there are prizes at the end. One of the ways to win is to have blog readers go over and vote for you. Our challenge this week is to drink more water. I'm already a water drinker, but I'm trying to take it to the next level. It's to late to join in on the actual challenge, but you can always go over to Mama's Notes every Tuesday and check it out. You can always work on the program on your own. Wish me luck!

We think we have finally figured out what is wrong with Aubrey. After eliminating a lot from her diet, we think she is lactose intolerant. It's something that she can easily grow out of and we are hoping she will. After having one child with a milk allergy this seems like a piece of cake. I took her into the Dr. yesterday for another check up and my little girl is finally up to 16 pounds and 4 ounces. HOORAY! She is starting to look like she is filling out because she is so short. She is 26 1/2 inches long. Someday she will get taller. =) Her doctor is sending her in to have a Echo on Thursday this week just to double check her hear murmur. I have a lot of faith that everything will turn out just fine. Better to be safe than sorry later that we didn't do it while she was this young! Her is a couple of pictures of my growing beauty!
