Overheard From the Backseat

While driving Jaren to school this morning I was lucky enough to have to superhero's along for the ride. This is what superhero's talk about....

Jaren: Hey Lukas do you want to play superhero's when I get home from school?
Lukas: Yeah, I will get the tub of clothes out.
Jaren: Okay.

While pulling into the school...

Lukas: I'm going to miss you today Robin.
Jaren: I'm going to miss you too Batman.
Lukas: Don't forget your lunch Robin.
Jaren: I won't Batman. Love you Batman. Love you Mom and Aubrey.
Lukas: Love you too Robin.

I only hope they will still like each other this much when they are older! I don't know about Aubrey, but I was feeling kinda left out that I didn't have a superhero name this morning.

A special celebration...

During this last week, Aubrey turned 4 months. So we decided to celebrate the fact that she is already 1/3 of the way through her first year. Since she isn't eating anything besides formula, we decided to make pancakes for the rest of us. Lukas was a great helper and we colored the pancakes a blue/green color. (I was out of red food coloring or else I know Lukas would have picked out pink) We then put a #4 candle on top and the boys helped her blow it out. I'm sure she enjoyed it as much as the boys did! =) I also wanted to mention that Aubrey went to the doctor and now was a whopping 10pounds, 14ounces. We were so proud that she has finally made it into the double digits. She has also grown to 23 3/4 inches long. We hope her weight will pick up once she starts to eat cereal.

Kids Day Out

We wanted to take the kids out to do something special at least once during spring brake. So today we packed them up and headed to Portland to the Children's Museum. It was the first time any of us had been there and it's such a fun place. Right now they have a Bob The Builder exhibit there and the boys loved it. They got to help built walls help repair Bob's kitchen sink and much more. I think Lukas loved the water room the most. I'm not sure if the lady he sprayed enjoyed it as much as him. When we were getting ready to leave they had some Star Wars characters walking around to talk to and have pictures taken with. Jaren loved it. We look forward to going back again soon.

We planned on trying to get a lap top with tax money. To my surprise Justin came home with one today. What a wonderful man he is!!! I can now tell him that thanks to the new computer I will beable to do more blogging. =) Thank you Justin for always thinking of your family

Caught in the Act....

So the boys have been wanting to play with Aubrey a little more everyday. They recently pulled out Aubrey's great little purse. I couldn't help but laugh as they would put her little bracelet on her and her pretend lipstick. When they thought I wasn't looking they both tried on the lipstick themselves. I'm sure this won't be the last time they play dress up with their little sister. Bless their hearts Hum.... what can we find in here?

Putting on a little lipstick. I'm sure Aubrey appreciated it!

Checking his own face after applying a little lipstick himself. I wonder what is going through Aubrey's head.

Camo and Ruffles

While mommy is away daddy and Aubrey play. Aubrey was recently dressed up in camo by her dad. Even though I'm not a fan of camo print the ruffles did help out a bit. What can I say, she can make anything look cute. I think secretly Justin was probably showing her hunting magazines or videos while I was gone. I'm sure he thinks he needs another hunting partner.

Lukas says...

Lukas has been coming up with a new saying. Whenever we ask him or tell him something, he responds with a,"Roger Dodger." In this picture he was saying, "Roger Dodger Baby." We can't help but laugh.

Mommy's girl...

Life around the Miller house has been very busy. I'm watching extra kids for a 6-7 week period. So needless to say, our house is a mad house!! Everyone is younger than Lukas, so I have my hands full. We have all been sick on top of it I'm going on almost 4 weeks. I can't seem to kick this one to the curb. Justin and I have been getting lots of little projects done around the house and can't wait to post some of them. Aubrey is growing so fast and seems to change on a daily basis. She loves to play on her floor mat and has recently discovered the mirror and her own reflection. It's hard to take pictures of her playing on her tummy because she rolls over as soon as we put her down to play.

IN THE DARK SPACE UNDER THE COUCH...

My kids are constantly getting toys stuck underneath our couches. We usually try and do a search once a week. Now I'm finding baby products that seem to disappear to. This is what I found this time around.

-1 set of batman wings
-1 fake piece of toast
-1 batman Lego hat
-1 linkin log
-1 pair of kid sunglasses
-6 Lego's
-1 baby powder
-1 diaper cream
-1 hair tie (from my pretend hair dressers)
-5 baby slippers
-3 Binky's (no wonder we can never find one)
-1 pan from our play kitchen set
-1 little people hay stack
-1 little people chair
-1 little people octopus
- more than I want to count dust bunnies..

What will we find during our next sweep, only time will tell.

A Kindergarten View On The President..

Jaren's teacher has been teaching the class about the past and present presidents. When asked what the kids thought the president did all day, Jaren responded with, "I think the President sits around and drinks beer all day." Thank goodness I wasn't in the room when he said that one. I'm sure we would have a lot more people run for office if it was only that easy.
