Lukas Says...

Recently the kids and I were in SEARS and Lukas came up and patted on my leg whispering (THANKFULLY)

Lukas: Mommy, I'm very yucky

(Oh yeah Lukas does not pronounce his L's yet)

Mommy: Your what honey?

Lukas: I'm yucky. (Pointing at a man in a wheelchair)

Mommy: Oh your lucky?

Lukas: Yes, I'm yucky. My legs are not broken so I don't have to sit in a wheelchair. So see I'm yucky.

Mommy: Yes, Lukas your very lucky. (SMILING)

I love this kid. Isn't it amazing that at the age of 3 he can realize that he is very yucky to have perfectly good legs and not have to be in a wheelchair.

A New Birthday Bike

Brotherly Love

My sweet little boy turned 6 today. Would someone please tell me where the time has went? We told him this is his first double handed birthday. So today we started off the day with some birthday breakfast and then he got to open some presents. I also took all of the kids to the new Public Library and Police Department today for their new open house. Kristy gave Jaren a Happy Birthday balloon that he carried around with him. In return I think he had at least a 100 strangers tell him, Happy Birthday. Here are some pictures of Jaren with some of his friends at his "friends party" today. They had a good time and I will post some more pictures after he has his family party. We had a great time today. Happy Birthday Sweetie.

Memories of the 4th

WOW the 4th of July has already came and went. Here are some pictures showing our events throughout the day. By the end of the day my kids were so wore out. With all the playing outside eating and swimming the three of them slept really well the next night.=) This year we had their cousin Finn here from Kansas to play with. With this being Aubrey's first 4th we were curious on how she would do with the fireworks. She was fine on Friday night at the Pointers BBQ, but had her fill by Saturday night. Maybe next year she will like them more. We hope you all enjoyed your 4th.

Happy 4th of July from the Miller kids!

Jaren sunbathing, our little sparkler, and our grumpy Lukas.

Some wore clothes and some didn't. =) We also had to light a few fireworks before the night was over.

Surgery was a success

Justin and I were very stressed this morning as we tried to get Aubrey into her car seat without waking her. She expects to eat at 6am and usually will not wait. We were successful and got to the hospital and into surgery without to much of a fuss. The staff was so nice and we were able to hand her off to a nurse after she feel back asleep in my arms. It was so much easier to hand her over with her being asleep than have her stare at me as I handed her to a stranger and watch them walk away with her. Everything went great and the surgeon was happy with the results. When we finally go to see her she was pretty upset, but was happy once she was given a bottle. Since we have been home she has been sleeping a lot and we hope to have a nice and quiet day with her. Thank you to the people who put us in their prayers. We are so thankful that God kept our little girl safe and we just hope she will have a easy and quick recovery.

Prepairing for Surgery

As my stress level is slowing rising I'm trying to get ready for Aubrey's surgery in the morning. We have to be at the hospital at 6:15 am and surgery starts at 7:30. It's so scary knowing that I have to hand her over to someone and watch them walk away with her. I worry that I won't be able to help her with the pain and the fear she may have of all the strangers around her. I'm sure that the surgeon will do a great job and that her hernia will be repaired and her ovary will be put back in it's correct spot and will undamaged. Throughout the day I've found myself saying small little prayers to God just to keep her safe and I have to remember that it's out of my control. I guess I need to pray for myself to help keep my stress level down and my emotions in check.

Banana Lover....

Aubrey has finally been introduced to Bananas and she loves them. When we gave her first bite her eyes lite up and she couldn't get enough! So far she has enjoyed all her veggies except green beans. We are just going to keep working on that. Justin always waves to her when he leaves and yesterday she started to wave for the first time. She is growing up so fast. Here are a few pictures from her new pictures we had taken.

Oh how I BELIEVE in Prayer

Earlier this week I had wrote about my Aunt who is in the hospital suffering from a severe brain injury. The night she was life flighted to the hospital we were told that it looked like she may be brain dead. On a scale from 1-10, (10 being the worst) she was listed at a 9. As you could imagine it left us with very little hope. I'm happy to say things have made a huge turnaround. She is now starting to move her limbs, showing reaction to pain, and tears ran down her cheeks. Even though she is still in medical induced coma. When I got the news from my family all I could do was cry. We went from nothing left to hold onto to this. During her fall her brain had also shifted and as of today it is starting to correct itself. We all know she is no were near a clean bill of health but our hope is growing stronger everyday. Now that is the true power of prayer!
